We are looking for a full-time Bookkeeper and Payroll Administrator to join our modern, technology-focused accounting practice in Worle, Weston-super-Mare.

Hillmans Chartered Accountants has been in business since 2014 and is one of the fastest-growing accounting firms in the local area.

We focus on the smaller end of the market, meaning our clients are typically owner-managed businesses and private tax clients. In addition, we offer our services locally and nationwide, resulting in a very diverse client portfolio.

This position provides variety and exposure to all aspects of bookkeeping, VAT and payyroll. The role is suitable for someone who has an in-depth knowledge of Xero or Sage 50. Knowledge of other bookkeeping software would also be beneficial but not essential.

Previous bookkeeping and payroll experience are essential.

As a Hillmans bookkeeper, your duties will include:

* Providing ongoing advice and support to clients

* Bookkeeping for a variety of clients using Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and Excel

* Completing and checking VAT returns before submitting to HMRC

* Bank and control account reconciliations

* Using the latest apps and integrations to create and run an efficient end-to-end bookkeeping process

* Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

* Month-end journals and accruals

* Payroll Processing

* Liaising with clients

* Knowledge of MS Office, (mainly Excel spreadsheets)

* Providing a professional, first-class and friendly bookkeeping service to clients

Salary:

Negotiable depending upon experience.

A full-time Accountant is required to join our modern, friendly firm of Chartered Accountants in Worle, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset.

Job Description

A full-time, permanent Accountant is required to join our team in Worle. Some of the duties include:

-Completion of accounts and tax returns for limited companies, sole-traders and partnerships.

-Completion of self-assessment tax returns for private tax clients.

-Helping the firm Director manage a set portfolio of clients from a wide variety of industries

-Client meetings and correspondence

The Candidate

The candidate should be good at managing their workload and must ensure high-quality work is produced at all times. The candidate should also be reliable, a good decision maker, productive and highly organised with a common sense approach to his/her work.

A good level of competency with technology is important.

The candidate must have at least 3 years’ experience in practice. Alongside qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA and AAT), both part-qualified and qualified-by-experience candidates are encouraged to apply.

-Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (with flexibility)

Salary
